Summary
Sulfuric acid is a catalyst that initiates and drives the alkylation reaction. The STRATCO® Alkylation Technology is a sulfuric acid catalyzed process that converts low-value, straight-chain olefins into high-value, branched components called alkylate. Alkylate, with its superior blending properties, is a key component for clean gasoline. With units installed worldwide, this technology helps produce cleaner-burning gasoline with high octane, low RVP, low sulfur, zero aromatics and zero olefins.
Options for measuring sulfuric acid include Coriolis meters, inline refractometers, and titration sampling. In this webinar, we'll discuss the challenges of each of these methods. We'll show use cases of inline refractometer installations that measure total concentration solution (including hydrocarbons) and provide more reliable data.
