Vaisala Polaris™ PR53W Valve-Body Process Refractometer Measure safely and accurately the concentrations of aggressive chemicals: sulphuric acid (H₂SO₄), hydrochloric acid (HCI), sodium hydroxide (NaOH), and hydrofluoric acid (HF) Measure the most aggressive chemicals inline in chemical industry, and in industries, where aggressive reagents are used, such as chemical, biochemical, mining and metal refining. The Vaisala Polaris PR53W Process Refractometer is the perfect choice for large pipelines to measure aggressive chemicals as it has extreme chemical resistance and just plain durability in the harshest environments. Contact us Datasheet The PR53W process refractometer is mounted in a membrane‑lined valve body, with no metallic wetted parts included. This allows convenient flange mounting to 1 and 2 inch ANSI and DN50 and DN25 flanges. Key benefits For the most aggressive chemicals Integrated ultra-pure PTFE lined valve body has no metallic wetted parts making it fully suitable to be in contact with aggressive chemicals. Widest concentration curve library Vaisala’s application base for chemical industry is astonishing, currently we offer over 500 different concentration curves, and the library is ever growing. Start your measurement with factory pre-installed concentration curve, just install and enjoy accurate measurements. Customizable product with our Engineer to Order service In addition to wide standard process connection offering, Vaisala offers an opportunity to customize the product to meet specific processing needs whether it is a special process connection, wetted parts material, custom size flanges or custom type enclosure for transmitters (Ex d/Ex p). Contact us for options! Plug & play to Indigo The process refractometers can be connected to Vaisala Indigo520 transmitter to expand features, including data storage, graphical interface, analog and digital interface. Always accurate, no drift The measurement is based on optical measurement of the refractive index (RI). The RI can be measured from practically any liquid or slurry, and it is sensitive to dissolved material. Bubbles, particles or color do not affect the measurement. Non-metallic wetted parts, PTFE‑lined valve-body flow cell The non-metallic wetted parts, and PTFE‑lined valve-body flow cell are suitable to use with aggressive chemicals in pressurized pipelines. Aggressive chemicals in mining and metal refining Measure safely and accurately concentrations of hydraulic fluids, cutting oils, cooling lubricants and washing liquids in metal working and machining, polyalkylene glycol (PAG) quenchant in metal induction hardening and stainless-steel passivation process.
