The anemometer-based Vaisala Low Level Windshear Alert System (LLWAS) is the most widely used solution for airports that experience low-level horizontal windshear. Using ultrasonic wind sensors, the LLWAS is part of the Vaisala AviMet® Windshear Alert System: a scalable, end-to-end solution suitable for any airport in the world, whatever its traffic or unique conditions.
