Vaisala actions against Coronavirus pandemic

Vaisala is closely following the development of the global COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak. We have taken several precautionary actions to ensure the safety of our employees and stakeholders and the continuity of our business. At present, our global delivery capability is at normal level. Our cross-functional team is actively working to ensure the best possible long-term delivery capability.

As the epidemic situation is different in different countries, we have implemented country- or site-specific plans based on local authority guidelines. When the epidemic situation in a country or region allows, sites may gradually start to increase presence at the office and remove restrictions related to traveling or hosting guests.

Finland: guests allowed in selected areas and critical cases in Vaisala premises 

At our head office in Vantaa, Finland, we allow domestic guests to selected parts of our office premises as well as for e.g. time-critical maintenance work or Factory Acceptance Tests. International guests require special permission - please reach out to your Vaisala contact person for more information.

We follow governmental recommendations of minimum 2 m safe distance to others, using disposable face masks and limiting meeting room capacity. 

To safeguard the health and safety of our factory employees whose physical presence at Vaisala premises is required, we continue to postpone general factory visits until further notice. 

Our recruitments continue, but the current situation may prolong some recruitment processes. In order to ensure the health and safety of our recruits and employees, interviews may be organized as virtual meetings. Face-to-face meetings can be arranged, following governmental recommendations of safe distancing.
