Meet our pioneers: Niko Pasanen Niko Pasanen, Transportation Weather Data Scientist Espoo, Finland I entered Vaisala in 2014 as a summer trainee and have worked here ever since, mainly for the Soundings product area where I worked as a Research Scientist for five years. There I got the chance to give my best to improve the algorithms of the very best radiosonde in the world! Now, at the beginning of 2022, I have just entered a new role as a Transportation Weather Data Scientist in the Winter Maintenance team. I’m really excited about it as my long-term plan has been to focus on data science! I have always felt Vaisala is a good employer and I feel privileged to be able to work here. In my spare time, I usually enjoy afrolatin pair dances, such as kizomba, bachata, and salsa. That really gives me good energy as I love the afrolatin music!
