Steering stability and safety in offshore operations
Dynamic positioning (DP) systems play a critical role in maintaining offshore vessel stability and safety, and accurate wind data directly impacts their reliability and efficiency.
Join us as we delve into the importance of situational awareness and how accurate and reliable wind measurements lead to greater DP system performance. We’ll also introduce new Vaisala Ultrasonic Wind Sensor WM80, specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of dynamic positioning.
What will we cover?
- Overview of dynamic positioning systems, principles and common applications
- Current challenges faced by operators of DP systems and future development areas
- How the impact of weather, growing sustainability targets, and the increasing importance of situational awareness highlight the need for robust, integrated sensors and systems to ensure DP system performance remains safe and compliant with relevant requirements
- Introduction of new Vaisala Ultrasonic Wind Sensor WM80, designed for the demanding and harsh maritime environment, delivering world-class wind measurements to optimize your vessel performance
This session is tailored to offshore vessel operators and engineers, dynamic positioning and ship navigation system providers, maritime safety officers and decision-makers, system integrators and consultants in the maritime sector.
