Controlling NMP in rechargeable battery manufacturing

Transparent liquid - methyl
Industrial Manufacturing and Processes
Industrial Measurements
Two options for time

N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone or NMP is essential for producing high-performance lithium-ion batteries as it effectively dissolves the PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) binder. This ensures uniform dispersion of the active material particles and uniform slurry coating on the metal foil.

As the NMP is also very expensive and toxic chemical, good process control with process refractometers brings production efficiencies and cost savings, and advances sustainable operations.

In this 20-minute webinar, our expert Maria Nyman will cover the following:
-    Refractive index (RI) as a process control parameter
-    NMP process optimization with RI and process refractometers
-    Benefits of using a Vaisala’s Polaris process refractometer

Who should attend?
This webinar is a fit for rechargeable battery manufacturers, battery manufacturing midstream operators, battery manufacturing process engineer, and for anyone interested in the topic.
