Polyethylene Fiber Antistatic Agent Isopropyl alcohol-based solution concentration measurement in antistatic agent dilution Polyethylene sheet is made by spinning extremely fine high-density polyethylene fibers fused together to produce a strong uniform web. Antistatic agent such as isopropyl alcohol-based Zelec® must be diluted with water and applied to the surface of the fiber. In-line Vaisala PolarisTM process refractometer is used to measure the concentration of the antistatic agent after it is diluted, and before it is applied to the polyethylene sheet. The output signal from the in-line refractometer can be used to control the water feed valve for an automated dilution control. Learn more details about the process from the application note.
