Don’t let your profits slip

Biomethane paves the way to a greener future and the shift to renewable energy has been embraced by major economies. But inefficient production can turn a green enterprise on its head. While some methane always escapes, the MGP262 is your one-stop tool to minimizing costly and harmful methane slip. The MGP262 gives you the ability to control your process and to focus on producing the best biomethane possible. Are you ready to get the green gains, and all the gains?

Turn your biogas plant on.

Biogas production provides enormous opportunities for both people and the planet. However, plants still suffer from inefficiency. It is estimated that the average biogas plant could have a substantially better yield when performing optimally. The answer to solving this is better measurement. Vaisala has launched the first ever 3-in-1 measurement probe, which is very easy to install and use. Are you ready to put the pedal to the metal and accelerate your bio-engine?

CONTROL BIOGAS PRODUCTION: MGP261

From waste to value

Biogas production is an organic process, which means it is inconsistent. The better you can monitor your entire process and react to these inconsistencies, the more efficient it becomes.

Increase revenue

Get more value out of waste. Improve CH4 concentration and biogas quality through timely actions based on stable online measurement.

Get the green gains. Get all the gains.

The Vaisala MGP260 family brings our robust science to help optimize your biogas production and upgrading. Reliable, always accurate and Ex certified. Robust construction meets automatic calibration and zero sampling equipment needed. Just a better process.

Superior stability

  • Supremely corrosion resistant with durable filter
  • Triple and dual gas optical measurement: CH4, CO2 &H2O (MGP261) and CH4 & CO2 (MGP262)
  • Auto-calibration cuts down expensive calibration work
  • Heated probe tolerates high humidity and cold

Install with ease

  • Easy to install in situ
  • Fits to any existing system
  • Ex certified
  • Integrates with distributed control systems

Operate with ease

  • Light and robust design
  • No sampling or moisture removal needed
  • No pumps or gas calibration cylinders

Reduce operating costs

Most biogas plant manufacturers and integrators always seek to solve certain critical issues. Firstly, protecting the CHP (combined heat and power) engine from excess moisture during the process to avoid corrosion and breakdowns. And secondly, controlling the whole process down to offgassing, in order to minimize losses due to methane slip.

  • Prolong the replacement interval of your active carbon filters by keeping biogas humidity within specifications
  • Prevent the CHP engine from wear and shutdown due to wet gas
  • Control you whole process — know your gas quality better
  • Stop the profit slip by keeping your methane slip in check.
