Maritime Observation System AWS430

    SAFE & EFFICIENT OFFSHORE OPERATIONS

Vaisala Maritime Observation System AWS430 is an automatic weather station designed for the challenging conditions of offshore maritime environments such as ships, FPSO vessels, and ocean and helideck platforms.

The AWS430 delivers the weather observation data necessary to make the complex weather and oceanic condition calculations required for safe, efficient offshore operations. You get complete, real-time weather measurements on barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, air temperature, dew point, relative humidity, horizontal visibility, and vessel motion.

The sensors and system are also designed to withstand the marine salt, moisture, extreme temperatures, vibrations, and impact shocks that are a daily part of working at sea.

    CONSTANT DATA AVAILABILITY

With the AWS430 system, you’ll always know what’s happening with the weather and wind, so you can make well-informed maritime operations decisions. Built-in algorithms continuously monitor the sensor data and provide an immediate alert in case of a fault. For every parameter, the minimum and maximum readings as well as step limits are automatically tested and cross-checked to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all measurements.

    FLEXIBLE INTEGRATION

The AWS430 system is designed to fit the requirements of your offshore application. Multiple connection ports allow you to easily customize sensor options to deliver the specific observation data your offshore operation needs. It can even be integrated into a ship’s gyrocompass and navigation system to provide heading, speed, direction, and position information for modeling and forecasts. NMEA and IEC requirements for data communication are also fully supported.

    HOLDS UP TO MARITIME USE

The AWS430 system is built to withstand the demanding, often brutal conditions of offshore maritime operations. All system and sensor components have been engineered to endure the corrosive marine conditions, vibrations, and shocks as well as the freezing temperatures experienced in extreme-weather environments that prevail aboard ships and offshore platforms. Test specifications comply with both the Lloyds' Register approval system and the IEC international maritime standard for applicable parts.
