WindCube® Nacelle for feedforward turbine control is now better than ever. The result of a collaboration between Vaisala and IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), WindBox software creates 3D reconstruction of the wind field from WindCube Nacelle lidar measurements.
WindBox, included with all new installations of Vaisala WindCube Nacelle for Turbine Control, is an unprecedented technical advancement that:
• Improves the performance of wind turbines
• Allows better control of wind disturbances
• Lowers loads and levelized cost of energy (LCOE)
• Extends the operational life of wind turbines
