Multigas CO2 instrument MGP241 for CCUS Radically smarter CO2 measurement GET THE CCUS EBOOK Heavy-duty performance The new MGP241 is the smartest solution for process CO2 measurement. From carbon capture to general industrial use, it's built to endure and excel in the harshest environments. Superior reliability, direct in the process Exceptionally compact, light and operationally optimized.Requires only minimal maintenance and calibration.Demonstrated field-proof and IP65-rated technology.Built on 85+ years of measurement expertise. Plug-and-play operation + high connectivity Its compact size and plug-and-play design make installation radically easier. It integrates into your existing operational systems with minimal effort. Both digital Mo® and analog SCADA communications are supported. The MGP241 is fully compatible with the Indigo family of transmitters for remote data connection and local graphical display. Unbeatable Return On Investment (ROI) The MGP241 requires only a fraction of the expected investment compared to the most typical industry solutions. It delivers heavy-duty performance at a substantially lower purchase price and total cost of ownership over its 10+ year lifespan, operating directly in the gas stream. Plug-and-play The MGP241 is a plug-and-play instrument. Its compact size and plug-in design make installation radically easier. It integrates into your existing operational systems with minimal effort. Low TCO, high ROI The MGP241 requires only a fraction of the expected investment compared to the most typical measurement solutions in the industry. It delivers heavy-duty performance at an exceptionally low purchase price and TCO. It has a 10+ year lifespan operating directly in the gas stream. New revenue The MGP241 helps transform emissions into revenue streams. Instead of a pollutant, CO2 can be a resource, and the MGP241 helps generate new profit streams. Whether by selling it for use (CCU) or permanently storing it (CCS), the MGP241 is your top choice for carbon capture. It measures CO2 and humidity in vol-% or ppm units, or alternatively dewpoint temperature (Td)) and frostpoint temperature (Tf). The patented CARBOCAP® infrared technology enables simultaneous detection of multiple gases unlike the traditional non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) measurement technique. This allows compensation for sensor drift, sensor aging, and for any cross-interference effects between measured gases. Calibration gases are not needed for routine operation; a functional check and drift check every 12 months is recommended. Continuous process measurement The MGP241 measures gases directly in the process without a need for drying or other sample treatment. This simplifies installation and minimizes the physical footprint compared to traditional gas analyzers. The rapid measurement cycle takes only seconds, providing direct real time measurements for process control and monitoring. CO2 measurements can be shown in either wet basis or dry basis values. Built-in temperature and pressure compensation algorithms, and the CARBOCAP infrared technology ensure all measurements are extremely stable and reliable across a wide range of process conditions and environments. Powerful connectivity The MGP241 offers both digital and analog connectivity. It uses the Modbus RTU protocol for digital connectivity and 4...20 mA analog outputs for CO2 and H2O vapor concentrations, as well as a 4...20 mA analog input for external pressure or temperature signal used for compensation. The MGP241 readily connects to various Vaisala Indigo Transmitter probe host devices, from the top-of-the-line Indigo500 to the Indigo300, and the award-winning Indigo80 handheld. For easy access to configuration, diagnostics, calibration and adjustment, the MGP241 probe can also be connected to the Vaisala Insight software using a USB cable.
